Pajtim Osmanaj (b. 1990, Istog, Kosovo) is a contemporary visual artist and fabricator who lives and works in New York City. After studying at the High School of Art in Peja and the Art Academy of Kosovo, Osmanaj relocated to New York, where early experiences in construction in Chelsea fundamentally reshaped his creative trajectory. Observing the raw materiality of building sites, he pioneered a signature mixed-media technique. He folds, crinkles, layers, and transforms surfaces using paint, paper, canvas, and industrial adhesives to construct complex, tactile landscapes on two-dimensional planes.

Moving fluidly between expressive paintings, dense collages, and large-scale architectural fabrications, Osmanaj’s practice explores the profound intersection of raw material and collective memory. His work is heavily informed by his youth in wartime Kosovo, translating intense personal history into universal themes of vulnerability, conflict, and resilience. His compositions capture a continuous dialogue between rigid form and organic expression, working through historical and personal narratives.

Beyond the gallery, Osmanaj is highly sought after for major architectural interventions, having executed permanent, site-specific art commissions for Google, Rivian, and Meta. He has had major solo exhibitions at Trotter & Sholer (NYC) and Deep Space Gallery (Jersey City), and his practice has been covered by major publications, including The New York Times, Artnet News, and The Art Newspaper.
